Pick-Up Sticks

Pickup sticks came in a variety of shapes. Some were straight like this set. Others were carved in shapes, usually long and slender. A set I have seen in an artifact collection was in the shape of farm implements and was carved by a captured soldier in a civil war prisoner of war camp. The first set made by Milton Bradley soon after the civil war was similar but was made from wood.

The cost of a set of pick-up sticks is $8.50
